Strength and Conditioning (S&C) is the selection and development of dynamic and static exercises used to improve physical performance. Appropriate for skaters of all ages and levels, S&C with Matthew Matsuura will help you develop every area of your body and improve the way you move to enhance your on-ice performance. Research shows that precise and appropriate strength training can improve physical performance. Matthew’s experience training figure skaters will help you increase your vertical jump height and add power to your basic skating. His strength and conditioning classes involve a wide range of exercises developed to build a variety of skills with a focus on mind, mobility, stability, strength, endurance, power, speed, agility and performance. *Skaters should have a clear, flat area for workouts. *Required equipment may include: Rubber elastic mini-bands of different strengths Physio bands of varying strengths Free weights Plyometric box or hurdles Yoga mat
